Motorola phones are widely supported by most carriers in the North American market. Although they are built by the Chinese company Lenovo, they usually come with a clean version of Android and don’t include the bloatware associated with many phones these days. Motorola is proactive with their security patches, releasing an update every one or two months.I chose the G32 over more expensive and faster Motorola G54 since I didn’t need 5G and, being a casual social media user, I didn’t need the added performance either. That said, if you are interested in a fast 5G phone, with good gaming capability then definitely look at the G54.This phone is pretty fast for everyday use, and the 6.5″ full HD 90Hz IPS display is very nice. The cameras are nice too, and I like the natural color rendering of the pictures. I was happy that the battery life easily lasts more a day with moderately heavy use.Unlike most other brands at this price range, this phone comes packaged like a higher end phone. It includes a 3.5mm headphone jack, stereo speakers, a charger and a transparent case. The sound quality is quite good, and can be adjusted to your liking using the Dolby Atmos feature.Following the advice of others online, I decided to upgrade to Android 13 before I transferred over my apps and data from my old phone. This let apps install “cleanly” over Android 13, reducing any settings issues and performance hits.(To get to Android 13, it is necessary to install all system updates since September 2022. (Simply go to System->System Updates and follow the instructions.) It is a slow process because of the reboots required after each update. But Android 13 version will eventually install after several system updates.)Overall, I think this is a fantastic phone for the price, perhaps the best overall in its price range.

Not likely to have LineageOS support and no smart or full updates so it takes days of repeatedly rebooting to get to the latest software.

Basic Moto smart phone. Not impressed by the battery life. If you use it alot it will drain very fast. It has apps to assist with battery conservation but I haven’t explored those as yet. Though it is 4G capable, it wont show 4G in the status bar, it shows H+, which is weird because my moto g20 had no issues. Nice camera, lots of storage. The fingerprint sensor is positioned very oddly at the side. I prefer it at the back of the phone. I hate the black dot (camera) in the display. It can be annoying when gaming or watching a movie. It has lots of settings which I haven’t explored yet. Still getting acquainted but it’s ok so far. Good for the price.
