The reports that the phone arrives configured in Chinese are accurate. With help from a native speaker we were able to get the phone switched to English, but I honestly don’t know how we would have done it without someone who could read Chinese. On the other hand, once it was switched to English everything stayed in English. The report that it kept switching back seems unfounded.Once it was fully configured we started encountering more subtle problems:The phone had no reception in many places where my old phone worked (also a $200 phone from a year ago). Even standing at the window inside buildings where I’ve made many cell phone calls I often had no signal at all. There were many times when I had a cell signal but where data was not working, preventing my use of the internet on the device. It was very rare to be able to sustain a phone call for more than 3 minutes. Most phone calls would drop repeatedly every few minutes. This grew very annoying, especially when the calls seemed to work fine after calling back.Other than the phone being unusable for phone calls and internet usage, the physical characteristics of the device were great. It flipped open and closed seamlessly, and the buttons seemed to be high quality. It was also really cool to have Android on a flip phone. Had it been possible to use the phone for phone calls it would have been exactly what I was looking for.

I am rather surprised that this phone was rated in 3rd place for flip phone. It should have been rated in 1st place based on design, functionality, and ease of operation. The design is that of a regular smartphone so I lose none of the functions. Plus its touchscreen and has a keyboard where I can still use swipe for texting. The phone is fabulous. The screen is a lot bigger than I had expected. The price was the best price I found on the web including on ebay. I am very excited and know I will just love this phone. I am impressed that Samsung came out with a flip phone with android OS. The 3.8″ screen is perfect size. I thought I would only like bigger screened phone but I’m shifting my thought process now. It’s light weight and can truly fit in my purse.

I recently purchased my first “phablet”, the Note 9. Combined with a wallet case, I love it. But with my active lifestyle, I quickly found out the size makes it a little cumbersome to pack safely for activities like cycling/motorcycle riding/running, etc…. Didn’t want to spend a ton of money and settled on the Folder 2. Arrived on-time, charged it up, and wow….I love it, brings me back to my Razr days. Other than being a little slower to responding back to texts, it offers just about all the functions I need in my phone….I could easily use this as my primary phone. It’s no Note 9, or any other modern day smartphone, but if your primary uses are basic internet cruising, making actual phone calls and want something unique with a little nostalgia, this might be the ticket. I believe this is running a full-blown version of Android, so most all Apps should work. Some might not work as well as intended, but should be able to add them and have access.
